Environmental & Sustainability

Sustainability has always been important to us at Trimline, but we have decided to make it an even greater priority moving forward. We want to do our part to protect the environment and reduce our impact on the planet. This is a lifelong commitment, and we are constantly looking for ways to improve. We have already made some huge changes, such as switching to recycled materials and using more energy-efficient methods of production as well as contributing 1% of all revenue towards Carbon Removal through our payment partner Stripe. However, we know that there is always more we can do. We will continue to look for ways to reduce our footprint and make our business more sustainable. We hope that you will join us in this effort!

Renewable Energy

Demonstrating our lifelong commitment to the protection of the environment, we have installed a solar system

on the roof of our main distribution hub at The Teardrop Centre.

Our ability to generate clean renewable energy every day slashes our CO₂ output and reduces our reliance on grid-fed power. We are now able to measure our energy generation and consumption on-site, assisting our organisation in the measurement of its sustainability efforts.

Energy consumption is rationalised in all company buildings. All lighting is energy efficient and LED with movement lux sensors installed wherever possible.

Demonstrating our lifelong commitment to the protection of the environment, we have installed a solar system on the roof of our main distribution hub at The Teardrop Centre.

The 249.8 Kwp Solar Photovoltaic system installed by Perfect Sense Energy will generate over 240,000 kWh per annum. Eliminating over 84 tonnes of CO₂ output in the first year alone, this innovative solar system will prevent more than 2,100 tonnes of CO₂ emissions over a 25-year period. Alongside the unrivalled services that clients have come to know and expect from Trimline, we now hold a significant environmental advantage, contributing to our client’s futures in a sustainable and positive way.

Carbon Reduction Commitment

Trimline Group continues to take steps to reduce carbon from its direct and indirect operationsTrimline Group is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2030. We continue to take steps to reduce carbon from its direct and indirect operations by implementing the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment’s (IEMA) Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Management Hierarchy.

We are dedicated to making better decisions.

We are taking steps to reduce our Scope 1, 2 and 3 greenhouse gas emissions and reliance on fossil fuels through the use of energy-efficient technology, renewables, processes and algorithms that have been developed in-house to assist decision-making and to drive sustainability performance improvement.

Through collaboration with our supply chain partners, we aim for all products and materials we procure to be net zero carbon by 2030. In limited cases, where we are unable to reduce emissions, we will aim to invest in environmental projects, in the form of carbon offsets, to go beyond net zero carbon by 2040.

We all have a role in tackling the climate emergency. That’s why we contribute 1% of our revenue to carbon removal. Removing CO2 from the atmosphere is critical to counteracting climate change, but it needs to catch up. A fraction of every purchase from Trimline Group helps new carbon removal technologies develop both in scale and impact.

We believe businesses can play a critically important role in helping fight climate change and we’re immensely proud to be able to fund next-generation carbon removal. We’re part of Stripe Climate: a coalition of businesses accelerating carbon removal.

Logistics

We aim to provide an environmentally efficient service, by embracing solutions and initiatives that promote an improved approach to the use of energy, resources, and ultimately support a total reduction of C02 emissions.

Dedicated to reducing our vehicle emissions

In order to reduce our carbon emissions, all of our vehicles are compliant with Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) standards required for vehicles operating within London’s North and South Circular Roads.

All Trimline vehicles utilise a route optimisation system, ensuring vehicles always take the most efficient journey possible, resulting in reduced energy consumption and carbon emissions.

Trimline alsates under the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme accreditation, currently holding the Silver standard. This voluntary accreditation scheme aims to achieve exemplary levels of best practice in safety, efficiency and environmental protection in fleet operations.

Proven to be a cut above the rest here at Trimline, we exceed the industry standards. Our accreditations clearly demonstrate our commitment to continual improvement, while also contributing to and investing in our client’s safety and sustainability.
