Full Dukkaboard Wetroom Specification for Lincoln Square

Dexter Moren, a London-based group of architects, designers and thinkers, saw Lincoln Square as the perfect illustration of how contemporary architecture can complement an area with a strong heritage character.
Client, Lodha Developers, are India’s largest residential developer by volume and this is their first development in the UK.
Delivered by Multiplex, in Holborn, London, Lincoln Square is a prominent residential development. The project contains 221 studios made up of one, two and three-bedroom luxury apartments.
Dukkaboard Tile Backing and Waterproofing System was specified for use in all bathrooms. A comprehensive package offering waterproofing, tile backing, decoupling and thermal insulation, was combined into one complete specification alongside Thermonet Underfloor Heating and Mapei Adhesives.

A long standing and respected client of Trimlines, Copley Ltd were appointed the tiling package for all aspects of the project.
An extremely experienced tiling company, that undertake high end residential and commercial projects, using natural stone, ceramics, porcelain and mosaics, they form an integral part of the design and construction process working alongside the client or contractor to successfully deliver the project.
Part of Trimline Groups commitment to their clients, and the projects they are commissioned to work on, is to conduct thorough product installation training. This was delivered to Copley Ltds operatives prior to works commencing onsite.
This training ensures that all products are correctly installed, and that they are installed in the most efficient method, reducing wastage and time on site. Ensuring the correct methods are conformed to, deliver the sought after 25 year waterproofing warranty offered by Dukkaboard.
Regular site visits were also conducted to assist the Copley group project manager, overseeing installations, helping and ensuring that the strict schedule of works where met. Attention was drawn to how simple the Dukkaboard system was to fit and how this set it apart.
Above ground, the development is comprised of nine floors formed in reinforced concrete with a heavily-articulated handset stone and aluminium façade. Basement level one features the underground car parking space, while basement level two includes the main plant area and amenities such as a swimming pool, sauna, cinema room, private dining areas and kitchens.
A select few of the development’s premium apartments feature private gardens, and the project also contains an enclosed courtyard with a children’s play area and mature trees.
Overall, the project was a success at every level, from specification through to delivery, training and installation.
Both the project clients and subcontractors were pleased not only with the end result, but with the level of service and guidance provided at every stage of the project. As a result, Trimline are currently working on further projects with Copley Ltd.
